SwipeClean Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
SwipeClean ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by VitalApps Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains how SwipeClean handles your information when you use the SwipeClean mobile application.
SwipeClean works entirely on your device. We do not run servers that store your photos, and we do not have accounts, logins, or user profiles. By using SwipeClean, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. SwipeClean has no account system, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK. Specifically:
Your Photos & Videos
With your permission, SwipeClean reads your photo library through Apple's Photos framework so it can display your photos for review and delete the ones you choose. Your photos are never uploaded, copied off your device, or transmitted to us or anyone else.
Your Review Progress
Which photos you have kept or binned, your progress counters, and your in-app preferences are stored locally on your device in SwipeClean's own app storage. This never leaves your device.
Device Storage Information
SwipeClean reads your device's available storage so it can show you how much space you have freed. This is displayed to you and not recorded or transmitted.
Purchase Information
If you subscribe to SwipeClean Pro, your subscription is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details, and Apple provides us only with your entitlement status.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To display your photo library inside the app for review
- To delete the photos you explicitly choose to delete
- To remember your progress so you don't review the same photo twice
- To unlock SwipeClean Pro features if you have subscribed
We do not use your photos or any other data for advertising, profiling, or AI model training. SwipeClean does not track you across apps or websites.
4. Data Storage & Security
On your device: Your photos stay in your iOS photo library, where they already were. Your review progress and preferences are stored in SwipeClean's local app storage, which is protected by iOS app sandboxing.
Off your device: Nothing. SwipeClean has no backend, no cloud sync, and no user database.
5. Photo Library Permission
SwipeClean asks for access to your photo library because it cannot function without it. You can grant full access or limited access, and you can change or revoke this at any time in Settings → SwipeClean → Photos. If you grant limited access, SwipeClean can only show the photos you have selected.
6. Deletion & Recovery
Swiping left in SwipeClean moves a photo to SwipeClean's in-app bin — nothing is removed from your library until you confirm. When you confirm, the photos are moved to the Recently Deleted album in Apple's Photos app, where they remain recoverable for 30 days before iOS permanently removes them. SwipeClean cannot permanently delete photos on its own; iOS always asks you to confirm.
7. Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — subscription and payment processing
That is the complete list. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, because we do not hold any.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
Your review progress stays on your device until you remove it. You can:
- Reset your review history from within the app's settings
- Revoke photo library access at any time in iOS Settings
- Cancel your subscription through your App Store account
- Uninstall SwipeClean, which removes all locally-stored app data from your device
9. Your Rights (UK / EEA Users)
If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have rights under UK GDPR / EU GDPR, including the right to access, correct, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data. Because SwipeClean does not collect or hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase — all of your data is already under your control on your own device. You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk/.
10. Children's Privacy
SwipeClean is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and posted in the app.
