Frequently asked questions
How does SwipeClean work?
SwipeClean shows your photos one at a time. Swipe left to send a photo to the bin, swipe right to keep it. When you're done, review the bin and delete everything in one go.
Are photos deleted the moment I swipe left?
No. Swiping left only moves a photo into SwipeClean's bin. Nothing is removed from your library until you confirm the delete, and you can restore anything from the bin before then.
I deleted a photo by mistake — can I get it back?
Yes. Deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app and stay recoverable there for 30 days. Open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted to restore them.
Why hasn't my storage gone down yet?
Because deleted photos sit in Recently Deleted for 30 days, they still take up space. To reclaim it straight away, open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted and empty it.
Why does SwipeClean need access to my photos?
It can't show or clean your library without it. Access is used only to display your photos in the app and to delete the ones you choose. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
I granted limited access and can only see some photos.
Limited access means iOS only shares the photos you picked. To clean your whole library, go to Settings → SwipeClean → Photos and choose "Full Access".
What does SwipeClean Pro include?
Pro removes the daily swipe limit so you can clean your entire library in one sitting. It's available as a weekly or yearly subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your App Store account. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SwipeClean → Cancel. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open SwipeClean → Settings → "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.
Can I start over?
Yes. In Settings you can reset your review history, which puts every photo back into the deck as unreviewed. This doesn't affect your actual photo library.
Where can I read your privacy policy?
See the SwipeClean privacy policy for full details on what's accessed, where it stays, and your rights under UK / EU GDPR.
